Annica Anderson is a Kansas City-based painter, lettering artist, graphic designer, and all-around obsessively curious artist who has never been able to commit to one medium.
These days, she’s mostly covered in paint, bouncing between the accessible freedom of gouache and the highly technical challenge of oils. You’ll often find nods to her daily life in the subjects of her paintings: her toddler’s favorite snacks, a little dino wearing glasses, a flower plucked from her garden, her favorite recipes.
When she’s not painting snippets of transient beauty, she’s pondering the mysteries of Christian theology and trying to capture it on canvas. Currently on the easel is a series titled Indwell, which is about the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. You can read more about this body of work over on Annica’s Patreon.
An always-reader and a sometimes-writer, Annica occasionally manages to collect her thoughts enough to share them over on her Substack, a verbal sketchbook.
